Friedhard Kiekeben

Cluster is a series of seven assemblage objects made in 1999. Through their triangular geometry these works paved the ground for the larger, and ongoing work cycles Crystal and Shatter which explore this theme in greater depth. Digital repeat images are deeply etched into copper, zinc, and brass metal plates, and then varnished in a primary color palette – red, gold, and deep blue. The full installation was shown at Gallery Guillaume Daeppen, Basel, and at Zurich art fair in 1999.
