Inset
Assemblage Objects
1993-1998

Inset is a series of assemblage construction pieces made between 1993 and 1998. The works encompass metal plates deeply etched with a repetitive digital structure, and intaglio impressions taken from the plates, prior to being assembled into the framework of a solid aluminum support structure.

Pieces were shown at Gallery Guillaume Daeppen, Basel, or at the Royal College of Art. Most Inset objects are held in private collections. These individual objects are related to the large installation 'Transit' from 1993.
